7-7-7 Challenge

I was tagged on Twitter to participate in the 7-7-7 challenge. The challenge is to go to your current work in progress, go to the 7th page, down 7 lines, and then type out the 7 lines starting there. As I haven’t started writing Captured yet, here’s 7 lines from The Grudge.

“Paul,” Steniman sighed, “you need to let this go. Your real work isn’t getting done. We have research piling up on actual projects. Yet here you are. Asking me for permission to reveal classified information to someone without clearance.”

Paul knew he wasn’t making this up. Bad things were happening, and they needed to be stopped before people got hurt. He stood his ground. “Sir, if I can—”

“Maybe you should take some time off,” Steniman said.

A moment of shock passed over Paul. Take time off? Now? There’s no way in hell I’m going to stop looking into this, even if they kick me out. “No, sir. I’d like to stay here if I can.”

Check out Twitter every Wednesday (#1lineWed) for more sneak peeks of my books!
